About us:

At Kolbe Catholic College, we are dedicated to the transformative potential of education, inspired by our vision that "Everyone Grows" As our community flourishes, with our established St Clare of Assisi Campus (Greenvale) and the new opened St Catherine of Bologna Campus (Mickleham), we are thrilled to announce this opportunity for a committed and passionate Food Technology Teacher at St Catherine (Mickleham). 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direction to the Technician in their management of supplies, safety procedures and processes to support the effective operation of the department
• Oversee Visual Arts specialist facilities across the college including resourcing and scheduling
• Work in collaboration with other Learning Leaders where Technician staff are shared across teams to plan staff resourcing and prioritizing tasks
• Coordinate and curate the annual Art Exhibition and student showcases
• Oversee ordering and forward planning of supplies required for the delivery of practical classes in the Learning Area

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Relevant educational leadership experience in a similar capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in Visual Arts curriculum development and implementation, aligned with VCAA requirements.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills to support staff professional growth and development.
• Ability to analyze student performance data and utilize insights for effective decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to creating a child-safe environment and promoting student wellbeing.
• Passion for supporting student engagement in extracurricular activities, competitions, incursions, excursions, and other development opportunities.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and their application to enhance curriculum and assessment processes.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values upheld by Kolbe Catholic College.
• Proven ability to innovate, think creatively, and inspire others to achieve positive outcomes.
