About the role

The Director of Students Years 7 & 8 is responsible to the Principal through the Deputy Principal, Campus Director St Catherine and is entrusted with overall responsibility for the guidance and support of the Year 7 and 8 students in St Catherine Campus. This role is a member of the Leadership Team and assists and supports the DP Campus Director St Catherine in all aspects of the campus leadership.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Leading as a member of the leadership team, in the provision of an exemplary learning and child safe environment. 
• In the first year of operation of the St Catherine Campus will encompass the responsibility for overseeing all areas of student wellbeing: Pastoral, teaching and learning and learning diversity.  
• Contributing to the leadership of the Student Wellbeing Team to continuously improve the pastoral care of students
• Building the capacity of Years 7 & 8 teachers with respect to student wellbeing, child safe practices
• Overseeing the implementation of the College's Behaviour Management Policies in Years 7 & 8
• Case managing Years 7 & 8 students with significant wellbeing challenges, including child safety concerns
• Planning, coordinating and leading the Year 7 Camp
• Being an active presence for staff and students in the Year 7 & 8 buildings and classes.

This is a position of leadership for 2026-2028 with an ongoing teaching opportunity.
